Orchard View Swim Club


As a certified Open Water SCUBA Diver, you will have the freedom to dive anywhere in the world with a dive buddy, independent of a professional, to a depth of 60 feet.


Pre-requisites:


You must be a reasonably proficient swimmer, comfortable and relaxed in the water and have a mature attitude, good judgment and self-discipline.  Your general health should be good.  Ages 10-14 will earn a Junior SCUBA Diver Certification.



What will you do?


Throughout the course, you will learn fundamentals of SCUBA diving, including the assembly and use of dive equipment and open water techniques.  You will earn your certification by performing academic studies, mastering basic skills in the pool and making five open water dives at Dutch Springs.  This is a self study course, with each student reading the manual and completing the online education material at home.



Class cost is $385.


Make up fees for missed classes are $125 per pool session and $75 per open water day.



Included in the class cost are the following:


All instructor, classroom and pool fees, open water checkout dives, pool SCUBA equipment rental and certification card



Student must pay for the following:


Class educational materials which are 10% off for our students


All personal fit equipment, i.e. mask, snorkel, fins and boots – between $175 & $350


2 days entry into Dutch Springs (2 x $45 = $90)


Open Water equipment rental - $99 for the two days of diving.  Includes a regulator with gauges or computer and an octopus; a BCD with inflator; full wetsuit; hood; gloves; weight belt with weights and 2 tanks including air fills.
